One man was injured this afternoon when his bakkie collided with a concrete barrier on the R26 Dealleville road in Bloemfontein.
ER24 paramedics quickly responded to the incident to find the male patient sitting in his bakkie. Upon their assessment, paramedics discovered the patient had suffered injuries to his back. The patient was immediately removed from the vehicle, immobilised on a spine board and promptly transported to Mediclinic Bloemfontein for further treatment.
The patient later stated the he had apparently lost control of his vehicle on the wet road before his vehicle crashed into the concrete barrier.
Local authorities were on scene to conduct investigations.
