Fifteen scholars have been injured after a three vehicle collision on the M7 Durban bound just after Bellville Bridge just after 3pm today.

Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find that a taxi and two trucks had collided. The taxi then rolled multiple times coming to rest on its wheels. Paramedics were faced with fifteen scholars who had sustained various injuries lying next to the mangled wreck. Immediately more ambulances were called to assist with transporting the injured children. Once all of the injured were stabilized they were transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required.

It is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on the scene and will be investigating further.

Traffic was severely affected as the M7 had to be closed whilst emergency personal worked to treat the injured.
