Two injured in taxi collision on Christiaan De Wet in Constantia, Johannesburg West

Two people were injured this morning when a taxi and light motor vehicle collided on Christiaan De Wet in Constantia, Johannesburg West this morning.

ER24 paramedics responded to the scene to find both vehicles ‘badly’ damaged. Upon assessment, paramedics found two patients who sustained moderated injuries including soft tissue injuries to their chest and legs.

Both patients were removed from their vehicles and place on spine boards and treated for their various injuries. ER24 paramedics promptly transported both patients to Leratong hospital for further treatment.

Witnesses later stated that the taxi driver had apparently driven into oncoming traffic causing him to collide with the vehicle.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
