Vehicle catches fire on N1, Maraisburg

A vehicle caught fire on the N1 near the R24 in Maraisburg, Johannesburg leaving its driver uninjured this afternoon. ER24 paramedics say the vehicle was still well alight when they arrived on scene.

There were no other vehicles involved in this freak accident. The driver, a woman in her thirties, did not sustain any injuries.

Fire department service personnel were also on scene to extinguish the fire. The matter is currently under investigation.
