Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the N14 at Jean Avenue in Centurion tonight.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a bus had rear-ended a motor vehicle resulting in a woman tragically losing her life, one man was found to be in a critical condition and twenty five people sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
All the injured people were treated on scene before they were transported to various hospitals for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
