A motorbike rider was killed in a horrific collision this morning on Marine drive, Table view.
Shortly before 06:00 paramedics arrived on the scene and found a BMW and a scooter lying next to it. Upon their [paramedics] assessment they found that the male biker sustained multiple amputations during the collision. He was later declared dead on the scene.
The driver of the BMW was assessed by paramedics and found without any serious injuries. The local SAPS that attended the scene later removed him.
The exact cause of the incident is not yet known and will be investigated by the police.
