N3 Durban rear -end collision leaves two injured

Two people were injured in a rear end accident on the n3 west bound near the Musgrave Road exit this afternoon.  Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a B M W had collided into the back of a bakkie, ejecting the driver of the bakkie from the wreckage. Paramedics found the man lying several meters from the twisted frames of the vehicles with life threatening injuries.
After the man was placed on a ventilator and skilfully immobilised on a trauma board they transported him to a local hospital for the care that he required. Another vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for the care that he required.
