Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on Duke Close in Silver Lakes, Pretoria this morning after 07h00.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a motor vehicle and heavy goods vehicle had collided head-on resulting in two people sustaining critical injuries and one person sustained serious injuries.
All three patients were treated on scene before they were rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that they required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
