Ten injured in early morning commute on Jim Fouche road in Weltevreden Park

Ten commuters were injured in a collision on Jim Fouche road in Weltevreden Park, Johannesburg West this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived on scene to find the injured commuters surrounded by curious crowd. Paramedics began assessing the injured, finding all of the patients fortunately sustained only minor injuries.

The patients were immobilised on spine boards before being transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

Witnesses on scene later told paramedics that two taxis had apparently attempted to pull over in the emergency lane, cutting in front of a bus. The large vehicle was unfortunately unable to stop in time, causing it to collide with a taxi causing a knock-on effect with another taxi.

Local authorities were on scene to begin their investigation.
