Northern Cape: Transport Minister, Honourable Dipuo Peters will, on Wednesday, 2 April 2014, officially open the newly-upgraded Orange River Bridges on the R27 situated in the Kai Garip Municipality, Keimoes, Northern Cape.

The newly-improved bridges form part of government’s continued roll-out and provision of much-needed transport and economic infrastructure and help to improve the lives of communities economically and reduce deaths on South Africa’s roads.

The four single lane bridges have been widened and improved to provide for safer and better pedestrian walking, cycling and motorist benefit. The improved bridges now provide for two-way traffic and accommodate high levels of river flow during heavy rains.
