Biker seriously injured in hit and run on Queen Mary Avenue Glenwood

A biker has been left with serious injuries after a hit and run accident on Queen Mary Avenue Glenwood just after 6pm last night.

Glenmore CPF members received a frantic call from members of the public informing them of the serious collision and proceeded to the scene whilst informing Rescue Care paramedics. On arrival they found the seriously injured biker lying on the side of the road. The vehicle that had hit the biker had fled and was stopped by the Glenmore CPF members nearby. Rescue Care paramedics stabilized the biker who had suffered multiple injuries before he was transported to King Edward Hospital for the further care that he required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further. The driver of the vehicle was removed from the scene by SAPS.
