One man died and four others were injured after three cars and a motorbike collided on the M4 near the Blue Lagoon Bridge. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway littered with accident debris and the remains of the wreckages, two vehicles were totally engulfed in flames fortunately the occupants escaped from the burning wreckages. After the patients were triaged it was found that the biker tragically died due to the extensive injuries that he sustained, two people were in a serious condition while two others miraculously escaped with minor injuries.
After the patients were treated on scene paramedics transported them to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required.
