One man sustained severe leg injures when a truck collided with a bus on the N2 highway on the Baden Powell offramp, Cape Town earlier today.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene to find the two large vehicles sitting in the middle of the road. A large construction truck had collided with a bus, blocking the intersection.
On their assessment, paramedics discovered that only the driver of the bus had sustained injures. Jaws-of-life equipment as well as a crane had to be used to free the patient from the wreckage.
Once the driver was freed and his injuries were treated, he was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known and local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
