A woman is in a critical condition after being set alight on Old Main Road, KwaZulu Natal yesterday afternoon.
ER24 paramedics responded to the area to find the 30 year old woman lying on the ground. A few bystanders had gathered around the young woman.
Paramedics immediately began their assessment and treatment of the woman, finding that she had sustained severe burns over 90 percent of her body.
Advanced life support was performed on the young lady to stabilise her vital signs before she was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
It is unsure how the incident occurred, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
