3 Men injured as vehicle rolls on the M13

Three men have been injured, two seriously so after the vehicle they were in rolled several times just after 8am on the M13 Durbn bound near Westwood Mall.

Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find the two front occupants of the vehicle lying in the fast lane. They had been ejected whilst the vehicle was rolling. They were quickly assessed and it was discovered that they had both sustained serious injuries and needed Advanced Life Support intervention to assist in stabilizing them. Once they had been stabilized they were transported with the third occupant of the vehicle who had sustained minor injuries to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.

It is unclear what caused the accident however the road was extremely wet after the rain Durban had experienced. SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.

Traffic was severely affected as traffic was diverted off at Westwood mall to allow emergency personal to clear the scene.
