4 vehicle collision leaves 5 injured Durban

Rescue Care paramedics were called to a four vehicle collision on the M7 under the N2 bridge just after 2pm today.

On arrival paramedics found that a truck coming down the M7 had failed to stop and collided with two vehicles before hitting another truck in the junction. Paramedics did a quick survey and found that five people had sustained various injuries. More ambulances were called to assist with the multiple injured patients. Once stabilized on the scene all of the injured were transported to various Durban hospitals by Rescue Care and ER24 for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however the robots were not working at the time of the collision. SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating the collision further.

Traffic was severely affected as only 1 lane was open to traffic travelling east along the M7.
