A 33-year-old man is in a critical condition after being knocked off his motorcycle on Govan Mbeki Drive in Potchefstroom this afternoon.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the driver lying in the middle of the road. A small group of bystanders had gathered, offering the biker assistance.
Advanced life support was performed on him before he was transported to Mediclinic Potchefstroom for further medical treatment.
The road had to be closed while paramedics attended to the patient.
The cause of the collision is unknown and local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
