A female tragically died and a man sustained serious injuries after a truck collided into a car at that intersection of argyle and Stanger Street this afternoon at around 14h36. Reports indicate that the truck collided into the side of the car and dragged it up the road.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the female patient still trapped in the wreckage with life threatening injuries, the male had been removed and was being treated by paramedics at the side of the roadway.
Firemen used the Jaws of Life to free the female while medics worked tirelessly to stabilise her. Tragically after she was removed from the wreckage they found that the patient had died due to the extensive injuries that she sustained. The other patient was stabilised and then transported to a local hospital for the care that he required.
