On Saturday, 21 June 2014 at approximately 23:15 two vehicles collided head on, on the R700, approximately 40km north of Bloemfontein. One of the occupants of the one vehicle sustained serious injuries including several fractures. He was stabilised on scene by paramedics from various services in Bloemfontein before being transported to the Pelenomi Regional Hospital for further management in a serious but stable condition. The other occupants were lucky to escape with only minor injuries. The cause of the accident will remain a subject of Police investigation.
