JPSA offers clarity on “e-tolls roadblocks”

Road Block jhb

There has been much ado and a proliferation of rumours surrounding the prolific, daily roadblocks that have been set up by the Gauteng Department of Community Safety – in conjunction with SANRAL of late but despite some coverage having taken place in the media, rumours and panic continues to abound.

JPSA continues to get panicked phone calls, emails and tweets about these roadblocks from terrified motorists – some of whom have chosen to defy the unjust and arguably, unlawful introduction of e-tolling in the limited areas of Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni and Tshwane.

In the interests of disseminating factual information and combatting both, rumours and acts of intimidation and/or corruption, JPSA has authored a comprehensive web page dealing with this topic which is available at www.jp-sa.org/rb and offers practical advice as well as the facts surrounding these prolific roadblocks.

Media enquiries may be made directly to Howard Dembovsky but we respectfully request only the web page address is published in printed and online media due to the proliferation of hoax emails and social media postings that cause our lines to ring off the hook.
