Two people were injured, one critically so, after two vehicles collided head-on along Modderfontein Road near Kempton Park this afternoon. Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the critically injured man under a tree next to the roadway. After he was stabilised at the scene they airlifted him to the Charlotte Maxeke hospital for the critical care that he required. The other patient sustained serious injuries, after medics stabilised him at the scene they transported him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
