A woman was killed and eight others injured this morning when a taxi rolled on Willshire Road near Marian Hill, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the wrecked taxi on the side of the road with its left side torn open after it collided with a large truck.
The deceased female was trapped inside the taxi and Jaws of Life equipment was used to free her body from the wreckage.
The eight other commuters were treated for injuries ranging from minor to moderate. They were thereafter transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known and local authorities were on scene to begin their investigations.
