Crisis Medical Paramedics were called to an Accident scene on 17 June at around 16:45, at the intersection of Armstrong Avenue & Shellbourne Rd in La Lucia, on arrival paramedics found one female patient entrapped in her vehicle after having being hit by another vehicle from the side. Ethekwini Metro Fire were called to come cut the vehicle in order to free the seriously injured patient from the wreckage. She sustained injuries to her pelvis, right ankle, and right arm. She was fully immobilized and transported to a nearby hospital by Crisis Medical Ambulance.
The driver of the other vehicle was also transported for observation, she sustained no obvious injures.
Traffic was severely affected for about 1 hour around the accident scene.
