Seven people were injured this afternoon when a truck collided with three vehicles at the 14th Avenue and Hendrik Potgieter intersection, Krugersdorp.
A crew from ER24 were at a petrol station nearby when they heard screeching of tires and a loud bang.
After a quick response, they arrived on scene to find that a large truck lay on its side blocking half the intersection. Three other light motor vehicles had also been involved in the collision.
Seven people sat around the wrecked vehicles, their injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries before they were promptly transported to a nearby for further treatment.
Witnesses on scene said that the truck had apparently lost control before crashing into the other vehicles.
The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
