Two females tragically died while a man sustained minor injuries in an accident along the N3 near Cato Ridge this evening. Reports indicate that the vehicle with two females veered across the centre median and collided with a bus on the Durban bound lane of the N3.
Netcare 911 paramedics P M B police rescue under the leadership of Jack Haskins and other services arrived at the scene and found some of the patients still trapped in the mangled wreckage of the vehicle, tragically they both died before our arrival. The bus driver sustained minor injuries but was visibly shocked.
While police search and rescue assisted the Netcare rescue officer using the Jaws of Life to free the trapped bodies medics stabilised the injured bus driver before transporting him to a local hospital for the care that he required.
