Three people have tragically died after two vehicles collided head-on along the R61 near Uvongo this evening at around 19h10. Reports indicate that a Hatch back car and a double cab collided head-on on the R61 exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the crumpled remains of the vehicles and accident debris consistent with a high speed impact scattered over a large area of the roadway. Tragically three men lost their lives in this horrific accident, the roadway will remain closed for some time while police conduct an investigation.
