Car hits Bush buck on the R61 Shelly Beach

A vehicle traveling along the R61 near the South Coast mall with five people on board collided with what appears to be a bush Buck. The people were still traveling along the road when the buck came leaping out from the side and ended up in front of the vehicle, it was struck with such force that the vehicles air bags deployed.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the buck lying on the roadway and tragically died on impact. Miraculously the occupants of the vehicle escaped injury but their vehicle was seriously damaged.
