An unknown man was killed and another sustained minor injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with the rear of a truck on the N8 close to De Brug on the N8 outside Bloemfontein just after midnight today, 12 July 2014. The light delivery vehicle caught alight on impact, burning the driver beyond recognition. The passenger managed to escape the blaze and was found a few meters from the wreck by emergency workers.
The Mangaung Fire & Rescue Services attended the scene and swiftly extinguished the blaze. The cause of the accident will remain a subject for Police investigation.
