A man was in a critical condition after he was hit by a taxi at the intersection of lagoon Drive and Kingsway road in Doonside this evening at around 17h45. A reports from an eye witness stated that the man was knocked down by a taxi that then run over the man before racing away.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that man lying on the grass verge with severe pain. Paramedics stabilised the injured man on scene and then transported him to a local hospital for the care that he required.
