Early morning intersection crash leaves two injured

Two people have been left with moderate injuries after two vehicles collided in the early hours of Saturday morning around 4am at the intersection of Old Fort Road and Prince Alfred Street.

Rescue Care paramedics arrived on scene to find that after the initial impact one of the vehicles ramped the pavement and stopped metres away from a new car sales outlet. Paramedics found that two people had sustained moderate injuries and both were stabilized by Rescue Care paramedics before being transported to a nearby private hospital for further care.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
