KZN EMS Paramedics have responded to a heavy motor vehicle that overturned

Earlier this morning , KZN Emergency Medical Services paramedics responded to an accident on the main road toward the Nagle dam in central KZN.

When the paramedics arrived on scene they found a  tanker truck, lying on its side, on an embankment on the side on the road. There were two patients injured in the accident, both occupants of the truck. One patient sustained minor injuries and the other serious injuries. Both patients were treated by the attending paramedics on scene for the injuries, that they had sustained. The patient, with minor injuries after being examined by the paramedics, decided not to be transported to hospital, while the patient, with serious injuries, was transported to St Mary’s hospital, by the paramedics from KZN EMS for continued medical care.

The cause of the accident, is being investigated by the Police, who were also on scene.
