Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an accident on the M4 near the Zimbali traffic circle this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found one person was seriously injured after a heavy goods vehicle overturned.
The patient was transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
