A man in his 50s was killed this morning when a truck and SUV collided head-on on the Pretoria Road in Bapsfontein, Johannesburg East.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the road block by the two wrecked vehicles.
When paramedics assessed the driver of the SUV, they found his body lying lifeless trapped inside his vehicle with no signs of life present.
The driver of the truck fortunately sustained only minor injuries. He was treated for his injuries and transported to Far East Rand Hospital for further observation.
Metro services were on scene to divert the traffic as well as to begin their investigations.
