A man in his 30s is in a critical condition after a five vehicle collision on Kliprivier Road in Johannesburg South.
Crews from the Johannesburg South branch arrived on scene and found the five light motor vehicles lying in a large ditch on the side of the road.
Three men had been injured, one of them critically, when the five vehicles collided.
Advanced life support was performed on the critical injured patient. After treatment, he was thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The other two patients who sustained minor injuries were treated and transported to a nearby hospital.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for investigations.
