A man has tragically died after he was hit by a car on the m4 North near the Umhlanga off ramp this morning at around 07h00. A report from the scene indicates that the man tried to run across the busy highway when he landed in front of a vehicle traveling on the North bound lane.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the roadway , after paramedics examined the patient they found that he had tragically died before our arrival due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.
