Rescue Care Paramedics attend to 3 motorbike crashes in 24 hours

Rescue Care paramedics have responded to three separate motor bike accidents in and around Durban in the past twenty four hours leaving all three bikers seriously injured.

Around 12pm yesterday afternoon Rescue Care were called to Edwin Swales Drive outside the Shell Garage, a vehicle had turned in the path of a biker and they collided. The biker was found seated on the pavement in severe pain. Once Advanced Life Support intervention had stabilized the man he was transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required.

Just before 6pm yet again Rescue Care paramedics were called to Sarnia Rd near the Caltex garage in Bellair for another incident where a vehicle had turned in front of the approaching bike. The biker was found in a serious condition with multiple injuries. Once he had been stabilized on scene he was transported by Rescue Care to a nearby hospital.

Just before 6am this morning Paramedics were called to the M7 West bound before Bellville Bridge. A truck had collided with a biker in the fast lane. The seriously injured biker was found lying in the centre medium. He had also sustained various injuries and was stabilized on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

SAPS were on all of the scenes and will be investigating further.
