Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on Main Reef Road in Comet, Boksburg this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a heavy goods and minibus were involved in a side-impact accident resulting in a sixty-four-year-old man sustaining critical injuries after being ejected from the minibus.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured man to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
