An elderly woman was killed when the bakkie she was travelling in overturned multiple times along Thaluza Street in Edendale, KwaZulu Natal this evening.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene where the wrecked bakkie was stationed alongside the road. The deceased woman had been ejected and six of her fellow travelers sustained minor injuries.
The patients were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the bakkie was uninjured in the collision.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
The group of people were apparently on their way back from a function in Phamuza Township when the driver apparently lost control of the bakkie causing it overturn down the bank multiple times.
The incident is currently under investigation.
