Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the N12 near Van Buuren road offramp in Bedfordview this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus had overturned resulting in eight people sustaining injuries.
Eight patients were transported to hospital for further medical care after receiving treatment on scene.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
