A man is his 40s is in a critical condition after a motorcycle collision late last night on the R64 in Kimberley, Northern Cape.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the patient lying on his back in the middle of the road. A stationary motor vehicle stood on the side of the road 100 metres from the biker.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that the patient had sustained severe head injuries and was in a critical condition.
Advanced life support was performed on the patient before he was transported to Kimberley Hospital for further treatment.
The two occupants from the light motor vehicle fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
