Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an accident on Mandela Drive in Port Shepstone this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that one person was injured after a light delivery vehicle crashed against a concrete pillar.
The patient was treated on scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
