A crime intelligence driven operation led to an arrest of five males aged between 28 and 46 years at Dimbaza Township for Stock Theft.

Police followed up information from community members about a house at Dimbaza Township that slaughtered four cattle that were stolen at Zabalaza Location, Dimbaza.

It is alleged that these cattle were stolen from Zabalaza and Pierri Trust areas and the case was opened at Dimbaza Police Station. A quick response from the Police resulted in the arrests. The owner of the cattle positively identified his cattle and the meat was given to him by the Police.

The suspects are due to appear at Dimbaza Magistrates’ Court on charges of Stock Theft.

Stock Theft is a concern to SAPS and all perpetrators will be arrested and Police will make sure that they are brought before court, said Dimbaza Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mlondolozi Plaatjie. He also thanked the community for sharing valuable information with the Police in the fight against crime.
