Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on Garstfontein Road in Mooikloof, Garsfontein.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a delivery vehicle transporting people on the back, had overturned resulting in twenty three people sustaining injuries. Two people were found to be in a critical condition while twenty one people sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious.
All the injured patients were treated on scene before they were transported to various hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject to of a police investigation.
