Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on Paul Kruger Road in Harveston this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a motorcycle and motor vehicle were involved in a side-impact accident.
The motorcyclist was found to have sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital after receiving treatment on scene.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
