Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a pedestrian accident in Randfontein his afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a nine-year-old boy was in a critical condition following the accident.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured boy to hospital for the urgent medical care that he requires.
The intersection the R28 and R559 had to be closed off for the helicopter to land to load the injured boy.
