The N2 south near the Dickens Road Bridge in Amanzimtoti was left obstructed for several hours after a beer truck overturned at around 20h00, fortunately no one was injured. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911, provincial paramedics and the fire department was standing at the scene of the accident when another ambulance stopped for assistance with a lady that was giving birth. The Netcare 911 and provincial advanced life support paramedics climbed into the back of the ambulance, a minute later a beautiful baby girl was born.
After the mother and child was stabilised at the scene they transported them to a local hospital for the care that they required.
