A woman in her 30s was critically injured this morning after she was hit by a vehicle on Llandudno Road in Llandudno , Western Cape.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the patient lying on the side of the road in a critical condition. Her wrecked bicycle lay on the pavement next to her.
Paramedics began their treatment, providing the patient with advanced life support. Once in a stable condition, she was transported by medical helicopter to Groote Schuur Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The vehicle that apparently hit the cyclist was not found on scene.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
