A pedestrian tragically lost his life after he was knocked over by a motor vehicle on Rodepan Road in Kimberley this afternoon.
Upon arrival on scene, Netcare 911 paramedics found the lifeless body of the man laying in the roadway. Unfortunately there was nothing further paramedics could do for the man, as he tragically died due to the extensive injuries sustained during the accident.
An occupant of the motor vehicle was also injured during the accident and transported to hospital after receiving treatment on scene.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
