A man in his 30s was killed last night after he was hit by a car on the N12 near Southgate in Mondeor, Johannesburg South.
Er24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the patient lying on the grass in between the two highways. Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had already succumbed to his severe injuries.
The driver of the light motor vehicle fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
The driver later told SAPS that he apparently did not notice the man running across the highway, and was not able to stop in time.
