A man was injured after a heavy goods truck overturned on the N2 north by the Seadoone Road on ramp in Amanzimtoti this morning. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the truck and trailer overturned and partially rolled down an embankment, oil and diesel was running onto the N2 causing officers to close the highway.
Paramedics treated the driver at the scene and then transported him to a local hospital for the care that he required.
